ELBW simulator offers training opportunity for fundamental skills in carrying an extremely low birth weight infant.Features:

• Life-size male infant of 26-29 weeks gestational, 900 g – 2 lbs weight
• Resuscitation training including chest compression and endotracheal intubation
• Procedures of tube feeding and nasal airway suctioning
• Incorporated anatomy such as bronchi, esophagus and stomach allows for training in basic skills
• Articulated head and neck

Traning Skills:

• Changing position and hygiene care in an incubator
• Position in an incubator (maintaining functional position)
• Assessment and measurement of whole body
• OG and NG Tube placement
• Insertion of urine catheter
• BVM ventilation
• Chest compression
• Endotracheal intubation(unilateral/bilateral intubation)
• Nasal CPAP
