This is a great cold-hardy winter leek grown by Ben Yohai at Wandering Fields Farm in The Applegate Valley that excels for late harvests or over wintering. Forms a very thick shank that blanches nicely when hilled. Deeply colored blue-green flags stand upright. Bandit overwinters best when mulched deeply in northern regions.
