Stunning, deep purple-scarlet flowers 3 to 4 inches across showing a white tinted throat. Flowers open in the early morning and fold in the afternoon. Plant seeds to grow on arbor or trellises or as a ground cover.
SOWINGPlant seed outdoors in a sunny location after all danger of frost is past when soil has warmed to 60F to 70F, or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks earlier. Plant 3 inches apart and cover withinch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until seeds start to grow.
