Few plants in our region offer a true-blue flower. Tiny Dancer Globularia does, holding them likeinch disco balls above a dark green dancefloor of rounded, shiny leaves. This plant is especially drought-tolerant and not only tolerates but prefers a well-drained, lean soil to a rich, amended one.
Place it in crevice gardens or rock gardens where it can be elevated and easier to see. A berm, be it in a rock garden or a crevice garden, will also help to keep this plant happy by ensuring the soil is especially free-draining and well-aerated. If you garden on silt or sand and enjoy a well-drained soil throughout your garden, consider using it between pavers, as well. Plants do well in full sun or with shade during the heat of the afternoon.
